Our History
The Founding of MB Komplex, s.r.o.
MB Komplex was established in mid-1999, but our story began in 1996, when a group of independent tradespeople started working together. This collaboration laid the foundations for the company we know today.
Our core activities include engineering production and metal fabrication, particularly welded structures weighing up to 3 tonnes, as well as welder education and training. Our specialist capabilities include welding less commonly used metals for technical applications and profile cutting of steel and non-ferrous metals.
As our name suggests, we aim to provide our customers with a complete range of services. Our sales division also supplies:
1. Welding equipment and spare parts
2. Industrial and specialist gases
3. Welding consumables, with delivery available
4. Sheet metal and other metal stock
Operations Begin in Vysoký Chlumec
On 1 January 2000, the company began operating from the former workshops of the Sedlčany State Farm in Vysoký Chlumec. During the first few years, the production premises were leased from a leasing company.
Property Purchase – 2001
In 2001, the company purchased two properties: a former potato storage and sorting facility and a former poultry-rearing building. Initially, these buildings were used mainly to store materials and finished products.
Construction of the Laser Centre – 2005
In 2005, part of the former potato-sorting facility was converted into a laser centre.
The renovated section provided a new production area and an office for the workshop manager, programmer and production coordinator. The facility was equipped with a ByStar 3015 laser-cutting machine and a Beyeler PR 250 IPC press brake, together with two overhead cranes and a STILL R 60-40 forklift.
Purchase of the Surrounding Land – 2006
In 2006, a restitution claim concerning the land surrounding the company’s buildings was resolved. The company subsequently purchased the land and added it to its property portfolio.
Construction of the Metal Fabrication Workshop – 2006
Also in 2006, part of the former potato-storage building was converted into a metal fabrication workshop.
The renovated building provided a production area for six welders, a robotic workstation, a bandsaw and a material store.
Acquisition of the Main Building – 2008
In 2008, the lease on the main building, comprising the administrative offices and metal fabrication workshop, was paid off. The property then became fully owned by MB Komplex, s.r.o.
